| * In the early 1920's, African Americans were part of a cultural movement called the Harlem Renaissance. *The Harlem Renaissance was a cultural movement that allowed African Americans to show their creative abilities to the world. * It was the first emergence of African American culture in American society. * Through the Harlem Renaissance, African Americans grew to be seen as artists, poets, ands writers. It was a very important part of our history as Americans. |
