| In 1844, she escaped from slavery. She began guiding others to freedoom afterwards through the Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad was a network of anti-slavery people who arranged transport and safehouse for slaves on the run. Harriet was the conductor of the Underground Railroad. In fact, she led approximately 300 slaves to freedom in a decade. She was the "Moses' of her people. |
